Updated: TASUED Post-UTME/DE 2018: Eligibility, Cut-off Mark And Registration Details

TASUED Post-UTME Screening date, cut-off mark, eligibility, application cost, deadline and registration details for 2018/2019 session have been announced. Cut-off mark is 180. Application cost is N2000. Registration begins July 3rd and end July 23rd, 2018. Screening date is July 24th. Full details below;
This is to inform the general public that the POST-UTME screening exercise of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) for the 2018/2019 session will take place as indicated below:

1. THOSE WHO MAY APPLY

i. UTME Candidates who chose TASUED as first/second choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB, having scored a minimum of 180 in the 2018 UTME.

ii. Direct Entry candidates with A level/OND/HND/NCE/JUPEB qualification who chose TASUED as first/second choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB and have obtained 2018 Direct Entry JAMB form.

2. METHOD OF APPLICATION (LOG IN PROCEDURE)

i. Candidates should apply online through the TASUED Admission portal on
https://my.tasued.edu.ng/admission

NB: Thehttps://my.tasued.edu.ng/admission
is the ONLY legitimate and authentic website of TASUED through which the Admission portal can be accessed.

ii. Each candidate is required to make the payment of N2000 for the screening exercise payable online with either Master card or VISA ATM card.

(Please print out your receipt after payment)

iii. Candidates are required to fill and complete the online Application Form by providing all the required information. It is MANDATORY for all applicants to use the University’s Online Result Verification System (ORVS) to submit and verify their O ‘level result.

(Please download and read the University Degree Brochure and carefully study the O’Level requirements for the courses applied for, before filling the online Application Form)

iv. Print the Screening Slip containing your colour passport photograph and screening information. The printed slip will serve as candidate’s identification/admission card for the screening exercise.

v. The sale of the online Screening Form/Registration commences on 3rd July, 2018 and closes on 23rd July, 2018.

Note that wrong/false information provided by any candidate shall render the application invalid and such candidates shall be disqualified.

3. SCREENING DATES/DETAILS

Screening exercise shall be conducted for all UTME candidates at the Main Campus of the University on 24th July, 2018.
The screening date for Direct Entry (200 Level) applicants shall be announced at a later date.

Candidates’ participation in the screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for entry into Tai Solarin University of Education.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should prepare for the screening exercise and bring along the following:

(i) Colour print-out of the online Application Form

(ii) Original JAMB Examination Notification of Result slip or Direct Entry Registration Slip.

(iii) Screening Slip and Receipt.

WARNING:

(i) Cell phones (GSM, CDMA, etc.) and other electronic devices are not allowed at the venue of the screening exercise

(ii) Candidates are to arrive at the screening venue an hour before the commencement of the exercise.

The results of the screening exercise should be checked on the Admission portal after the screening exercise.

WAEC May/June SSCE Results 2018 Released – See Performance Statistics

WAEC 2018 Senior School Certficate Examination SSCE Results have been released. “786,016 candidates representing 49.98% obtained credits and above in minimum of five subjects including English Language and Mathematics. Full details below;
Announcing the release of the results at the National office of the couincil in Lagos, the head of Nigeria Office, Mr Olu Adenipekun disclosed that. 786,016 candidates representing 49.98% obtained credits and above in minimum of five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

It was gathered that a total of 1,578,846 candidates registered for the examination from 17,886 recognised secondary schools in Nigeria. Out of the registered candidates, 1,572,396 candidates sat the examination.

Out of the number that sat for the exam in Nigeria, 1,470,338 candidates, representing 93.51% have their results fully processed and released. The Certificates of such candidates will be ready in 90 days from today.

102,058 candidates representing 6.49% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to errors traceable to the candidates in the course of registration or writing the examination.

A further break down of the results shows that 1,213,244 candidates representing 76.84% obtained credits and above in a minimum of any five subjects (i.e with or without English Language and/or Mathematics.)

“858,424 candidates representing 54.59% obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects including English Language but without Mathematics.

“786,016 candidates representing 49.98% obtained credits and above in minimum of five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

“In this category were 389,655 male and 396,361 female, representing 47.32% and 52.92% respectively. ”

Candidates can proceed to WAEC’s official website https://www.waecdirect.org/
to check their results using the result checker pin and serial number contained on their smart identity card used during the conduct of the examination.

UNN JUPEB Admission 2018/2019 Announced

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates for Admission into the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for 2018/2019 session.
The programme leads to the award of JUPEB certificate which enables candidates to gain direct Entry Admissions into their respective second-year degree programmes in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and other JUPEB – affiliated Universities in Nigeria and abroad.
Eligibility

Eligible candidates must possess a minimum of 5 Credits at a maximum of two sittings in at least 5 subjects (inclusive of English Language) relevant to the candidates desired a course of study in the University

Duration

The duration of the programme is a minimum of one academic session of two semesters.

Subject Combinations

ARTS: History/literature/Christian Rel. Studies (HLCRS), Economics/Hisitory/Lit – in- English (EHL), History/Igbo/CRS (HICRS), Igbo/Lit-in-English/CRS (ILCRS), History/Igbo/French (HIF) etc.

SOCIAL SCIENCES: Government/Economics/Mathematics (GEM), Govt/Economics/Geography (GEG), Literature/Economic/Geography (LEG), Biology/Economics/Government (BEG), Govt/Lit/CRS (GLCRS), Biology/Govt/CRS (BGCRS) etc.

MANAGEMENT SCIENCES: Business Studies/Accounting/Mathematics (BAM), Mathematics/Accounting/Geography (MAG), Government/Economics /Mathematics (GEM) etc.

SCIENCES: Agric Science/Biology/Chemistry (ABC), Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics (PCM), Physics/Chemistry/Biology(PCB) etc.

Candidates are to note that the above subject combinations meet the requirements (as applicable) for admission into Degree Programmes in the Sciences, Social Sciences, Management Sciences and Arts courses in all JUPEB – affiliated Universities in Nigeria including University of Nigeria Nsukka.

Method Of Application

Pay the application fee of N20,000.00 through Remita payment platform at any bank. You are to generate a payment invoice which contains a remita number; the invoice printout will enable you to make your payment at the bank. (Please note that Bank charges apply and must be paid)

Click on the fill JUPEB, Inter-University Forms
Click on Generate Payment Invoice under JUPEB

Enter your telephone number and click on submit

Enter your Surname, First name, Middle name and click on submit
Print out your invoice and proceed to the bank
After making payments at the bank visit the portalunnportal.unn.edu.ng
Click on the Fill JUPEB, Inter-University FormsClick on fill Joint Universities Preliminary Admissions Board programme

Enter your Remita # and click on submit
Fill out the form and attach your passport
Color passport photograph with white background.
The passport photograph must be recent (not earlier than 3 months before the time of the application) and the size should not be more than 100KB.
Complete the form and click on submit
Print out your acknowledgment slip:
General Information.

Applicants into 2018/2019 preliminary programme are advised to be visiting our website from time to time for updates and other relevant information.
All candidates are required to register for 2019 Direct entry UTME during the programme.
All candidates are required to use valid e-mail addresses and PERSONAL telephone numbers. ’The forms must be filled and submitted online either immediately or within two weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.
Applicants are to note that 2018/2019 entrance exam shall hold at the University of Nigeria, on Monday 10th September 2018
Candidates are advised to follow the Application Instructions very carefully and ensure they select the correct SUBJECT COMBINATIONS. Failure to do so may adversely affect the candidate.

AAU Final Year Student Reportedly Fell into a Well as SARS Invaded Their Hostel

Saliu Alli Haruna, a student of Business Administration at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, was allegedly found dead inside an abandoned well, after being chased by SARS operatives.
Report has it that, on Friday night, Haruna’s hostel was being invaded by SARS operatives when everyone took to their heels going by the usual SARS saga that has been on air. With an aim to seeking refuge, the students fled in different directions. But unfortunately, in the quest to find safety, Haruna landed himself inside an abandoned well.
The final year student was declared missing for days, since he was no where to be found, sadly, 4 days after the incidence, he was found dead in an abandoned well.

Unilorin Student Goes Missing After Writing Exam

Family and friends of Kurunga Aisha Yetunde, a 200L Educational Technology Student Of University of Ilorin, have been left confused and distraught after she went missing shortly after writing an exam.

Her disappearance was made known by her cousin, Farida, who said Aisha had returned to her hostel following her exam but went missing after she left her hostel again around 6 p.m.

Since Aisha left her hostel, no one has seen her or has an idea where she is.

All possible means to reach Aisha proved abortive as her phone number isn’t connecting.
